On February 21, our college celebrated International Mother Language Day in a festive, fun and interesting way.

Teachers of the cycle committee of socio-humanitarian subjects, together with students of the MRC, developed and conducted a number of informative events on the occasion of this holiday.

Anyone who wished could take part in the interactive quiz "Native Word Bouquet" and translate words from Belarusian to Russian, as well as explain their meaning. For those who could not do it quickly and immediately, the organizers created a QR code to help, which provided a link to the tip. The most active participants received a beautiful and useful gift in the form of a "Happy Mother's Day" greeting card, as well as a homemade "Cornflower" souvenir. The exhibition of original author's postcards made by the students of the college did not go unnoticed by the visitors of the holiday. A photo booth was organized in the lobby – a large postcard "Friends! Congratulations on Mother Language Day!". A special mood was created by songs in the native language, which became a kind of background and added national flavor to today's event.

The QUIZ "Talk to me in Belarusian" using the Kahoot platform was also fun and informative in the groups 3k9091, 3k9391, 3k9591. Pupils answered questions on the history of the Belarusian language, solved crossword puzzles, translated words and phrases from the Belarusian language into Russian.

The holiday dedicated to Mother Language Day turned out to be interesting and did not leave anyone indifferent. And it cannot be otherwise, because "Language is the soul of the people, the eternal memory of many generations, our main national treasure."
