On February 22, at the Minsk Radio Engineering College, as part of the information and educational project “School of Active Citizens,” a dialogue platform was held on the topic “My Motherland Belarus in Persons. Defenders of the Fatherland.”

Guests of the event were:

  • Lieutenant Colonel Artur Ashotovich Babakhanyan, deputy commander of military unit 39872 for ideological work, head of the department;
  • retired lieutenant colonel Oleg Vitalievich Goryainov;
  • Chairman of the NGO "BSO" of the Minsk region.

Oleg Vitalievich told the children that military service has always been a matter of honor, a school of courage and dedication.

Continuing the glorious traditions of past years, the modern Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are a strong shield against any external threat, a reliable support on the path of stable development of the country. Today, defenders serving in various branches of the military undergo a real school of courage and patriotism. They sacredly honor the traditions of their ancestors and protect the peace of independent Belarus. Hence the conclusion that today our common task is to actively contribute to strengthening the security of the Republic of Belarus and increasing the efficiency of the professional army. This is the most important condition for successfully countering new challenges and threats, a condition for the stable and progressive development of our country.

Arthur Ashotovich spoke about serving in the radio engineering troops of the Republic of Belarus, and also answered numerous questions from students, shared his plans for the future.
At the end of the event, he gave the children examples of valor, honor, heroism and self-sacrifice of the Heroes of Belarus pilots Vladimir Karvat , Andrey Nichiporchik and Nikita Kukonenko.
